October Event

CVBMC members Steve and Nancy Simmons have come up with an event for the weekend of October 10 -11. The details are listed below and can also be found on the website. Please read them over and let Steve and Nancy know directly if you are interested.

Overnight Ride in the Mountains

Saturday, October 10, 2015

I think my plans below may be a little to aggressive for our short weekend.  I suggest we change the agenda to a nice ride in AVERY/BURKE counties, appetizers at our shelter next to the Condo, then we can do dinner and breakfast as listed below. I think meeting in Lenoir sounds like a good place to gather.  I am hoping with this change of plans and easy drive on Saturday more enthusiasm will follow.

I now have another two bedroom unit at my place available.  This gives us a total of six bedrooms, with one more available if needed.
Come on guys call/email Steve Simmons

5:00 “Happy Hour” appetizers at 470 Banner Grande Lane (our home) for overlook view of Banner Elk.

6:00 PM dinner at The Pedalin’ Pig – BBQ Restaurant in Banner Elk.  We have reservations and will be in a private room but order from the menu.

In Sugar Mountain at my Condo we have picnic shelter with lighting.  We can all talk about the day and have fire in the fire pit.

Sunday, October 11, 2015
9:30 AM We will have breakfast at the Banner Elk Cafe.  Reserved area.

All of these places have great places for us park and display our British cars.

After Breakfast we will drive from Banner Elk to Valle Cruces to Blowing Rock and from there everyone can go on their way or shop in Blowing Rock.  This should be around 1:00 PM

I am happy to accept RSVP's for our Condo, but reservations in advance may be needed for other stays.  I am working on friends that may offer something in Sugar Mountain and will let you know if I have more options.  I think we need all RSVP in by no later than the beginning of October, but I’m sure we can squeeze in last minute stays.
