We are planning an overnight trip to the great state of Tennessee!

Update information on our travel plans!

• The group will be leaving from the Hardee's on I-40 at Exit 119. It's actual address is 324 S CENTER ST HILDEBRAN, NC 28637-8302 if you are using your GPS to get there. The caravan will be leaving Hardee's at 8:00 a.m.
  If you want to meet up with the group at a point closer to Marion or surrounding area, call Charlie so they can arrange a meeting point with you. There is a rest area in that vicinity that may be a good meeting point. But calling Charlie is a must so you can arrange a meeting point.

  There are still some rooms available at the lodge. If you think you can attend, call Charlie right away so he can update the lodge with the room requirements.
  There are some really great plans for the day, a great back roads route and the room rate includes breakfast on Sunday! Call Charlie if you want to join in the trip. 828-217-4982

On August 23 we'll travel over some great British car back roads and head to Gatlinburg, TN for a weekend of food, shopping, tours and fun.

We'll be staying at the Syndey James Mountain Lodge in Gatlinburg. This is a peaceful resort that caters to groups. We've arranged a great price for the rooms-- only $78.93 tax included. This includes a king bed, mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker and more. We'll be on the creek side of the hotel with spectacular views from each room. We'll have parking for our LBCs right near the rooms and if there is inclement weather we will be able to park under cover.

After arriving in Gatlinburg we can park our cars and then walk to uptown Gatlinburg to visit the shops or just take in the sights. We'll grab lunch at a great spot and then decide what to do next. There is a wide assortment of things to do in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. Much more than you can do in a day! But we'll try our best.

Then on Sunday we'll take a tour of Parrot Mountain and Gardens, home to exotic birds and fantastic gardens. This is a not-to-be-missed venue. We will be trying to get a group rate for this venue. After our visit we'll head home on Sunday afternoon.
