June 8, 2021 Meeting
Call to order:
Meeting called to order by new President David Poe at 6:41 p.m. David paid respects to all of the members who passed away during the past 16 months.
A couple of jokes were told before the group got into the idea of having a drive on June 22 to Julian Price park. We will picnic and then take a drive on the Parkway.
Any other ideas of events are welcome.
If anyone is interested in joining up with a group to visit the Great Race participants they should contact David Poe. There are a couple of places that we can see them in this area. They will be leaving on Sunday morning, 8:00 a.m., June 20 from the Spring Hill Suites, 121 Gateway Blvd, Mooresville, NC 28117. Tom and Matt Young will be driving car #83.
We had a great time at the RC plane fly in on Memorial Day weekend/Cars & Coffee. Most of the attendees went over to Crossroads Grill for lunch.

Old Business:
Cars and Coffee— Still at Hickory Bread, last Saturday of the month.
New Business:
Christmas Party – change in venue. We finally made contact with the Crowne Plaza to set up for the Christmas party. They have raised the rate for the room to $500 for the night. And we are responsible for finding our own caterer. It was decided that this is not acceptable to the club and we will be looking for some other venue.
We know that it will cost more this year per person due to the general increase in pricing at every venue.
50/50 Drawing: The winner of the 50/50 drawing was John Adamson, $37. Dean's streak has been broken.
Good of the Order:
Adjourn—Meeting was adjourned at 7:35 pm.
