CVBMC Meeting Minutes August 9, 2016
Call to order: President Dean Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. 46 people were in attendance.
Guests: Pete and Jan Berg, from Florida, who have British and Swedish cars.
New member Jim Ortman was introduced. He owns a Spitfire.
Officer Reports:
Vice-President David Poe-- David was not in attendance, but it was announced that there were 15 license plates left.
Treasurer Diana Makransky—Treasury has $2591.00.
Membership-- Gary Shaver: Max Azevedo rejoined the club tonight. Jim & Jan Ortmann are new members. The club now has 71 members.
Publications—Corky Guenther—He needs information for The Marque. He has grill badges for $30.00 each and patches for $3.00.
Events—Erik Jordan--Erik was out of town so Dean spoke for him
The Autolawn Party | 9/10/2016 @ SALT Block lawn in Hickory, NC. Cost is $35.00.

Old Business:
Sam Grabenstein from Troy and Sons Distillery are offering a day trip with tasting and a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Asheville area. Kathy and Dean will pick a date and let everyone know.
New Business:
Dick Luney presented a slide show on the recent MG 2016 and the Austin Healey National events in Ohio.
From the Carolinas to Kentucky. Several of our club members attended.
Dennis Makransky introduced the discussion on new hats for the club. Black and dark green were decided on and the cost is $10.00 a hat. The motion was made by Kathy Ahrendt to order 20 of each color and Corky Guenther amended the order to be 25 of each color. Motion passed.
50/50 Drawing collected by Kathy Ahrendt and won by Dewey Keller. The money was spilt $50.00 to the winner and $50.00 to the club.
