CVBMC Meeting Minutes September 13, 2016
Call to order: President Dean Sprague called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. 55 people were in attendance.
Officer Reports:
Vice-President David Poe--
Condolences to Kris and Jerry Sicard on the passing of Kris’s mother.
Condolences to Bev and Dean Sprague on the passing of Bev’s father on September 11, 2016.
Thanks to Dennis Makransky and his work to get the CVBMC’s hats. They are on sale for $10.00.
David Poe announced that his wife Becky has gone to an assisted living facility due to her Alzheimer condition.
Jerry Sicard announced the sale of his TR3 which is now headed to Paris, France.
Treasurer Diana Makransky—Treasury has $2252.56.
Membership-- Gary Shaver: There are 71 paid members currently.
Events—Erik Jordan.
Before Erik began talking about events, he announced the sale of a boxed TR3 if anyone is interested in taking on a project. He emphasized “Cheap!.”
Kathy Ahrendt talked about the Gathering of the Faithful she attended in Concord, N H. Corky and Priscilla Guenther also attended. Kathy worked registration the whole time and there were 157 people in attendance with 60 cars present. This was a 2,145 mile trip.
Several members attended the Autolawn European Classic Car Show last September 10. Erik listed several names and two members won best categories.
The Hickory High School band leader is interested in doing a fund-raiser for the school in the spring which would include a car show. Erik will help with this event and will give us more details as they become available.

October 1 Ken Schrader Automotive for our 4th Annual Dennis Peskir Memorial Car Show to benefit Make A Wish Foundation. Harrisburg, NC from 8-1. Erik is attending.
October 7 Annual Hickory Vintage Swap Meet & Auto Fair presented by Paramount Classic.
October 15 Touring Joara-- Table Rock Sports Car Club in Morganton, NC. Erik is planning to attend
October 22 Euro Auto Festival in Greenville SC. The Preserve at Verdae Golf Club 650 Verdae Boulevard Greenville, SC 10-4

Old Business:
Sam Grabenstein from Troy and Sons Distillery are offering a day trip with tasting and a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Asheville area. The date is set for October 29 unless a week day date is proposed.
New Business:
Logan Keller had her 18th birthday last week.
David Poe had his 79th birthday on September 12.
50/50 Drawing collected by Clay Rawn and won by Rick Harris. The money was spilt $53.00 to the winner and $52.00 to the club.
For the Good of the Order—Discount Tires is no longer selling wire wheels. Killian’s is now an option for this.
