CVBMC Meeting Minutes March 8, 2016

Call to order:  President Dean Sprague called the meeting to order at 7pm. 65 people were in attendance. Dean announced the death of Chris Johansen. Chris had been a fairly new member and had attended the Christmas party.
Officer Reports:
VP David Poe — Dean Sprague’s friend, David Alt is moving to Hickory and is looking for an Austin-Healey “bugeyed” Sprite. If anyone knows someone who has one for sale please let Dean know.
Treasurer Diana Makransky — Treasury has $2013.065.
Membership — Gary Shaver. There are 49 paid members currently. New members include Dr. George Ennis and Gary’s granddaughter, Logan Keller.
Publications — Corky Guenther.  Corky needs articles from our club to submit to the Marques. If you have information for the Marques, give it to him and he will get it in the magazine. Also he has car badges for $35.00 each and patches for $2.00 each.
Events — Erik Jordan. Erik recited a long list of events that can be found on our Website. Here are a few of the upcoming events:
Drive to the NC Transportation Museum on April 09, 2016 at 9:00 am. We'll leave the Boxcar Grille in Claremont at 9:00 am and travel back roads to the museum in Spencer, NC.
The Gathering at Shelton Vineyards on April 15, 2016  8:00 am until April 17, 2016 3:00 pm.
Drive Your British Car Week  from May 28, 2016 8:00 am until June 05, 2016 6:00 pm.
Web Master — Kathy Ahrendt would like feedback on how the Website looks. Dean encouraged everyone to take a look at the site and thanked Kathy for her efforts..
Old Business:
Mike Outen Sr. donated 6 British Leyland beer steins for a Silent Auction. Bids began at $2.00 each.
Dean recognized Rona and her team for a successful Valentine’s Day event in February..
New Business:
Prospero’s Garage is offering 11 by 17" laminated wiring diagrams of specific cars for under $20.00. This vendor is also interested in donating gift cards for our events. Contact Dean If you are interested in having a  wiring diagram made.
Silkscreen front license plates were discussed. These could have our club logo and name on them. A vote was taken and Dean will look into the price and details and report back to the club.
50/50 Drawing collected by Clay Rawn and won by Diana Makransky won $49.00. The club collected $49.00 for its account.
