CVBMC March Minutes

Submitted by Sandy Cox

The Catawba Valley British Motor Club met March 10,2015 at Harbor Inn in Hickory N.C., President, Bobby Cox brought the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Even though the weather was less than desirable seven people drove their LBC’s.

Our guest speaker was Glenn Jermalowicz, he and his partner Seth Lehaman are owners of “Elite Vehicle Restorations” in Denver N.C.. taking over the business of Hector Castro, owner of HRC Jaguars.   Glenn has over 20 years of combined experience in the ‘NASCAR’  racing industry as a Driver, Crew Chief. fabricator and a highly skilled vehicle restoration specialist as well as master metal fabricator.  He became interested in restoration after a racing accident stopped his racing career. He restored American cars in the beginning, then someone brought in an Austin Healy.  He found the LBC’s interesting and became inspired by their drivers. He likes the fact they drive their cars regularly, choosing not to just have them for show.  He showed slides of before and after projects that were truly amazing.  We plan to tour their facilities after our Cars and Coffee in April.

According to our committee chair people the club is in good shape, but publications chairman, Corky Guenther, needs articles.
