CATAWBA VALLEY BRITISH MOTOR CLUB

Minutes January 2014

Call to Order:

President Charles Reed called the meeting to order at 6:45.

Recognize members driving British Cars: Six members drove their British Car

Recognize members wearing club badges: 15 members wore their club badges.

Recognize new members or guests: New members were Jim and Sherry Holewka

Guest speaker:

There was no guest speaker at this meeting. President Charlie Reed spoke of the club now starting its 16 yr. It was started in 1998 with first meeting held at the Old Hickory Pub in Hickory. It started with 26-30 people. The first president was Paula Reed.

Officer Reports:

* VP/Jim Ferguson - Jim passed out sheets to everyone to be filled out with ideas for future programs.

* Treasurer/Priscilla Guenther - $2,622.00 in the treasury

* Membership/Harley Blodgett - 24 paid members/36 not paid (for 2014)

* Publications/Corky Guenthe r- need articles for March to be put in the Mark

* Events/Eric Jordan - Cars and Coffee with be held on Feb. 25 at Panera Bread Co. in Hickory on 127 at 9:30.

* Web Master/Kathy Ahrendt- Has made some changes and updated the web page.

Old Business:

$617 from the Christmas Party silent auction will be donated to Safe Harbor Rescue Mission in Hickory.

New Business:

The Valentine Party meeting will be held on February 11, 2014 at the Tudor House in Newton, NC. Checks for the meal should be mailed to Priscilla Guenther by February 3.
