Publications, Corky Guenther reported that he still needs articles.

Events, Erik Jordan talked about upcoming March events such as on March 16th lunch with the Metrolina MG club, and the Cruise-in later that day in Conover, NC.  Also, the March 23rd Garage Tour with the Vintage Chevy car club.  April and some May events are already posted on our club website.

Old Business:  President Dean Sprague gave a critique on the new PA system which was purchased at a reasonable price of $99.97.  It made it much easier for those that attended the meeting to hear what was said.

The club was scheduled to hear a brief overview from the three couples that attended the Amelia Island Concurs Event, however none of them returned home soon enough to attend the meeting.

New Business:  Because of all of the events coming up it was decided to fore-go “Cars & Coffee” for the season.

Charlie Reed and Bobby Cox held a discussion about the 2013 Collectors Car Appreciation Day.  The membership voted to have the event at the  Arbor Complex Saturday, July 13th and to pay the advance fee to save the shelter for that date.  It was also voted to combine with other car clubs in the area to split the cost if possible.

Presentation:  “The art of capturing your car forever in water color” by Dan McCrary, Automotive Artist.  Dan has won many awards for his automotive art and is in prominent and corporate collections.  He has done work for such publications as Road & Track, Street Rodder, Auto Aficianado, Hemmings Classic Car, and Automobile Quarterly.  His presentation included a short bio of how he got interested in automotive art, and included a slide show of his work while explaining each slide.  He also donated three prints of his work to the club which will be auctioned off at the April meeting.

Bobby Cox won the 50/50 drawing.

The next meeting will be at the Harbor Inn and Seafood restaurant in Hickory, NC April 9th.

Meeting Adjourned.
