You may (or not, probably) remember that I wrote an article (April, 2019) about the foam rubber gaskets in the tail light assembly of the MGB (body to lamp assembly base).  Being unable to source any of the correct size, I fabricated my own.  At the time, I mentioned that the front marker light gaskets were also undersize except the ones supplied with the assemblies.   Turns out that I needed some more to prevent the lens rim from contacting the body.  Same sourcing problem.  So, I made my own.  Made a pattern from ¼” steel plate, a top and a bottom.  I used ¼” closed cell foam.  First attach the tool to the foam then trim the foam to rough shape.  Use a Dremel type tool, sand the foam to the pattern shape. The extra holes in the pattern were used when I flattened the foam by tightening the screws (4).  Turned out, that was not a good Idea.  I should probably remove them.  Cut off the extra tabs, removed the adhesive back and attached the gasket to the lenses.  Reinstalled the light assembly, no body contact.

Takes about 15 minutes.  The pattern(s) took a bit longer.
