Following our regular Cars and Coffee on August we headed to Granite Falls where David Poe had arranged a visit to what may be the largest collection of Lincoln Zephyrs and Continentals extant. They occupy two long rows of the collection housed in a large building of Huffman Mills. The collection was largely assembled by Bert Huffman whose son Lee hosted our visit. In addition to the Zephyrs and Continentals, there are a large number of other later model cars mostly FoMoCo products but including some GMs and a few British and a pair of Amphicars. There also are several fire engines, some very early models. Most of the cars are in running condition and are occasionally taken out for parades and car shows. We spent about 2 hours wandering throughout the building and in some cases reliving times spent with cars of our past.
