When using gasket punches, set your material on the end of a block of wood, not the side. The end grain is softer and will allow the punch to cut through the gasket nicely and you won't damage the cutting edge of the punch.
When mounting tires, inspect the tires, tubes and rims for any inspection stickers or foreign objects that will eventually cause tube failure. Lightly dust tube with talcum powder. Helps keep tubes from chafing
Put rope caulk into a swivel socket and it will not flop around. Also the caulk can hold nuts in the socket or wrench when going back together. It can be put on your finger to hold a nut in place too or used on a screwdriver tip.
