It's coming and not soon enough for most of us --THE DRIVING SEASON!

Let's get started with a February drive to Hiddenite Art and Heritage Center with lunch at the Yellow Deli.
The Yellow Deli -- not only great food but an awesome atmosphere and the Hiddenite Heritage Center where you will view a Victorian era home renovated by Diamond Jim Lucas, a doll collection dating back to the 1800's plus exhibits of the abundant talents of regional artists and crafts people.

When:  Thursday, February 15th
Meet at the Sheetz station off I-40, exit 126 at 10:00 a.m. Pick up the rest of the gang at Oxford Dam on Highway 16, just over the bridge at the car lot. Leave there at 10:30. For those who don't want to meet up in Hickory, meet us at the Deli at 11.

Where: Lunch at the Yellow Deli in Hiddenite, NC

5081 NC Highway 90 E, Hiddenite, NC 28636

After Lunch: It's just a short few blocks to the museum. There is a charge, but if we get enough responses, we'll try to get a reduced rate.

We'll need to know if you are going to attend so we can give the Deli a count of attendees. Please give Charlie Reed a call at 828-217-4982 or email webmaster1 [AT] cvbmc [DOT] org to sign up. We have to know by end of day Thursday, February 7th so we can call them on the 8th!
(OK, we can hear the groans that it's not on a weekend... the reason is the Yellow Deli is not open from Friday night to Sunday noon.)

Remember, we need to give the Deli a count so sign up now!
